Why have humanoids suddenly become a hot topic?
On August 27, 2026, the Ministry of Planning and Budget discussed and finalized plans for fiscal investment in fostering the humanoid ecosystem and for promoting physical AI demonstrations in eight key areas at the Second Fiscal Management Strategy Council. This announcement can be seen as the direct trigger for the surge in search interest.

The physical AI demonstration areas are autonomous manufacturing, small and medium-sized manufacturing, agriculture, construction, logistics, ports, caregiving, and national defense. The scope extends beyond manufacturing sites to public services and defense.

Connection to the K-Humanoid Alliance

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s 2025 explanation, the alliance’s main missions include developing a robot AI foundation model, developing core humanoid hardware technologies, cooperation on AI semiconductors and batteries, fostering startups and talent, and strengthening cooperation between suppliers and demand-side companies.
The government also presented a plan to train approximately 20,000 people in manufacturing AX and physical AI by 2030. The structure is designed to advance technology development, component localization, demonstrations, and talent development as one package.
It is still too early to declare investment beneficiaries
This announcement alone is not enough to conclude that the share price of a particular listed company will rise or that a particular company will directly benefit. Actual beneficiaries can be assessed only after disclosures, contracts, or detailed project allocation materials are confirmed.
