Main Event Features More Than 1,700 Exhibitors
gamescom's official announcement said that more than 1,700 exhibitors are participating this year. The exhibition area covers 233,000 square meters, and for the first time, the entire space was fully booked. Since large-scale exhibits and announcements are taking place together, it is useful to check the on-site event and online showcases separately.

Major Titles Revealed During Opening Night Live
Opening Night Live 2026 highlighted new information about Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the reveal of the antagonist in Gears of War: E-Day, and the announcement of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past.

Future Games Show at gamescom 2026 was a separate showcase streamed on August 26. The official Gamescom announcement said that additional programs and streams would continue throughout the main event.
Xbox announced that it would operate 25 upcoming titles and 140 game stations at its Gamescom 2026 booth. Visitors can also try a campaign preview of Gears of War: E-Day on site.
