The Genesis GV90 made its world premiere on August 19, 2026, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, United States. It is Genesis’s first full-size flagship SUV production model, developed from the NEOLUN concept unveiled in 2024.
How the Standard Model and GV90 Neolun Differ
The GV90 lineup consists of the standard model with conventional swing doors and the GV90 Neolun. The GV90 Neolun features independently opening hidden B-pillar coach doors called the “Neolun Arch Gate.” The coach doors are not standard equipment shared by both models, so the two versions should be distinguished.
The GV90 Neolun’s Executive Suite offers a four-seat layout and electrically powered front seats that rotate 180 degrees. The standard configuration has seven seats. The Neolun First Edition is a limited specification unveiled alongside the GV90 on the day of its debut.
The key point of this unveiling is that the design direction introduced through the NEOLUN concept has carried over into the production GV90, along with two distinct model configurations.
Announced EV Specifications
The GV90 is equipped with a 123.5 kWh high-voltage battery, the largest-capacity battery used in a Hyundai Motor Group electric vehicle. Genesis announced a maximum electric powertrain output of 490 kW, equivalent to approximately 657 horsepower.
The seven-seat version is listed with a range of approximately 310 miles or 500 km on a single charge. Using a 350 kW fast charger, the battery can reportedly be charged from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes.
The interior includes 12 airbags, including a roof airbag, a pop-up OLED cinematic display, and a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.
Pricing and Sales Timing Have Not Yet Been Announced
As of August 29, 2026, Genesis had not announced the GV90’s official pricing or sales start date. Cars.com projected that sales could begin by the end of 2027, but this is a media estimate rather than a confirmed official schedule from Genesis.
The approximately 310-mile or 500-km range is also a manufacturer-provided figure. It should be distinguished from final certified sales figures based on regional approval standards.
