MG Hector Tomahawk revealed in India as an EV and PHEV

JSW MG Motor India has listed the MG Hector Tomahawk in EV and PHEV versions on its official India vehicle pages. The EV launched in India on August 26, 2026, with a reported starting price of ₹1.949 million ex-showroom.

The key point is that this electrified SUV is available with a choice of five- or seven-seat layouts.

EV specifications: 69.2kWh battery and 517km claimed range

The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is equipped with a 69.2kWh LFP battery. Its range is listed as 517km on a single charge, but this is the manufacturer's claimed range. Actual range may vary depending on certification and test conditions, so the figure should not be treated as real-world driving range.

The official vehicle page states that the EV is available with five- and seven-seat options. The seating configuration is therefore one of the key specifications buyers should confirm.

PHEV: 115km electric range and differing price listings

The MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a 20.5kWh battery. Its pure-electric range is listed as 115km, while its combined range is stated to exceed 1,100km. These figures are also based on claimed ranges reported by the media and manufacturer.

PHEV pricing has been reported differently depending on whether BaaS applies.

  • With BaaS: ₹2.179 million plus a per-kilometer usage fee

Rather than treating the PHEV price as a single figure, buyers should confirm whether the battery-service model is included. Test drives and customer deliveries are reported to be scheduled to begin in November 2026.
