Netflix officially confirmed production of ‘Culinary Class Wars’ Season 3 on January 16, 2026. The biggest change this season is the unit of competition. Moving away from the previous individual-chef format, four chefs representing a single restaurant will compete as one team.
What Teams Can Apply for Season 3?
Each applicant team must consist of four chefs currently working together at the same establishment. Individual applications are not allowed, nor are teams assembled arbitrarily from people affiliated with different restaurants. Anyone wishing to participate must first confirm that all four team members currently work at the same establishment.
There is an exception when the same brand operates across multiple locations. Chefs working for the same brand may apply as one team even if they are based at different branches. The team eligibility rules for this season are therefore based not simply on personal relationships among chefs, but on representation at the restaurant or brand level.
Production Confirmed, but Release Date Undecided
Existing production staff, including producer Kim Eun-ji and writer Mo Eun-seol, will return for Season 3. A casting video was posted on January 15, 2026, on the officially verified Netflix Korea YouTube channel. The video also explained that recruitment was underway for Season 3 and outlined the team-formation rules.
Netflix’s official announcement does not currently include a specific release date. Further updates have been announced, so details such as episode-by-episode cast members, judges, and the filming schedule cannot be treated as confirmed until an official announcement is made. What is confirmed at this point is the production of Season 3, the shift to four-chef teams representing a restaurant, and the resulting eligibility requirements.
