The schedule distinguishes the Nov. 2 media day from Korean Series Game 1 on Nov. 3. The opening date change is tied to the gap between the final playoff game and the next postseason series.
Korean Series Game 1 moved to Nov. 3
Aju Press reported that Korean Series Game 1 was pushed back from Nov. 2 to Nov. 3. The report cited the KBO rule requiring at least one travel day between postseason series, following the Samsung–KIA playoff Game 5 on Nov. 1. The change therefore reflects the gap before the Korean Series begins. [Aju Press](https://m.ajupress.com/view/20261031092070795)
Playoff Game 5 set with the series tied 2–2
The KIA Tigers beat the Samsung Lions 4–2 in Game 4 on Oct. 30. Both teams now have two wins and two losses, so the final spot in the Korean Series will be decided in Game 5. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu. [Yonhap News Agency](https://www.yna.co.kr/view/AKR20261030181500007?input=1195m)

Rain delay to the opener was a separate schedule change
The early playoff schedule was also adjusted. Game 1, scheduled for 2 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, was canceled because of rain, pushing the schedule back by a day. SBS reported that Game 1 was then scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the same venue. This change affected the start of the playoffs and is separate from the reason Korean Series Game 1 was moved to Nov. 3. [SBS News](https://news.sbs.co.kr/english/article.do?news_id=N1008813888)
