SOURCE MUSIC’s “2026 SOURCE MUSIC SUMMER AUDITION” will be held across 10 coastal regions in South Korea, beginning in Incheon on September 5, 2026. The schedule continues through Seogwipo on October 18, with Incheon, Boryeong, Gunsan, Haenam, Mokpo, Pohang, Geoje, Sokcho, Jeju Wolpyeong, and Seogwipo listed as host locations.
Eligibility and Categories
Applicants must have been born in or after 2008. There are no gender or nationality restrictions, and applicants choose one of the following four categories:
- Vocal
- Rap
- Dance
- Other

The preregistration period ran from August 3, 2026, through midnight on August 23, and there is no separate on-site registration. Therefore, as of August 30, 2026, applicants should check the latest information on the official audition page to confirm whether new applications are still possible.
After preregistered applicants are evaluated, first-round successful applicants will receive detailed information about the in-person audition individually by email. The notice stated that only successful applicants would be contacted.
A Broader Regional Reach
Dailyan analyzed that this audition covers more smaller cities and coastal areas than the 2024 in-person audition, which focused on six cities: Seoul, Daejeon, Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, and Jeju. The key feature of this schedule is that it is a traveling series of in-person auditions spanning roughly a month and a half, starting in Incheon and ending in Seogwipo.
