Q of THE BOYZ has signed an exclusive contract with PEACHY Company and is set to expand his acting career under his real name, Ji Chang-min. PEACHY Company was reported to have confirmed the exclusive contract with Q on September 4, 2026, and to have said that it plans to provide full support for his acting activities.
How will his activities change after the contract?
The new contract confirms that PEACHY Company will manage Q’s individual acting activities. He is expected to use his real name, Ji Chang-min, for acting projects. PEACHY Company has been described as a management agency founded by Jun Ji-hyun in 2025. Actor Kim So-hyun was also reported to be signed with the company, meaning Q will continue his individual activities at the agency representing Jun Ji-hyun and Kim So-hyun.
However, there is no confirmed basis for saying that the contract with PEACHY Company replaces THE BOYZ’s group-activity contract or means that Q has left the group. THE BOYZ was reported to have announced that it would continue group activities as a nine-member team—Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric—and had finalized its group-activity contract on August 6, 2026. The plan is for the members to pursue individual activities through separate contracts with companies suited to their respective strengths while continuing group activities in parallel.
Film production is also scheduled after his drama lead role
Ji Chang-min’s acting career is not beginning for the first time with this contract announcement. Q played his first leading acting role under the name Ji Chang-min in the MBC Plus drama *My Favorite Debut*, released in July 2026. The drama premiered on July 16, 2026, and was reported to have been released through MBC DramaNet and Japan’s OTT platform Lemino, followed by releases on MBC M, Wavve, TVING, and Watcha.
Film work is also planned. Ji Chang-min has been cast as Tae-yeop, a rational and reasonable character, in the tentatively titled film *Akgu: The Secret of the Moon’s Shadow*. The production was reported to be scheduled to begin filming in September 2026, with a theatrical release targeted for 2027, but a specific release date has not yet been announced. Accordingly, the only confirmed subsequent schedule at present is filming in September; the release timing and any additional upcoming projects after the PEACHY contract should not be treated as confirmed information.
