In the home-run race, he was one behind Kim Do-yeong’s 40. This means Austin was chasing the leader; it does not mean that the 2026 home-run title had been decided. Yonhap News reported that, as of September 14, Austin led the league with 121 RBIs and a .672 slugging percentage.
