Summer Vacation is set to arrive on Wavve and air on Lifetime on the same day. For the release date and platform, refer to Wavve’s schedule; for the TV broadcast time, check Lifetime’s listing so the two schedules are not conflated.
Wavve release date and Lifetime broadcast time
Wavve announced that Summer Vacation will be released on October 26, 2026, and featured it in its October lineup as a Wavve ONLY OTT exclusive. [YTN report](https://www.ytn.co.kr/_ln/0117_202609301053564191) Lifetime’s official program listing shows the first broadcast at 10:50 p.m. that same day. That time is for the Lifetime broadcast. The release date and exclusive status on Wavve are confirmed, but the lineup description cited by BNT News on September 30 does not give an OTT release time. That description alone does not confirm the exact OTT release time or whether a separate announcement giving that time has been issued. Ha-yeon and Yu-gyeom meet in Upori
The series is a teen romance about Kim Ha-yeon, an 18-year-old high-school student who spends summer vacation in the rural village of Upori and meets Jo Yu-gyeom, the eldest male descendant of a head family. Jinyoung plays Yu-gyeom, the son of Upori’s landowner and the eldest male descendant of a head family, while Cho Yi-hyun plays Ha-yeon, who dreams of a dramatic destiny. Ha-yeon’s trip to Upori and Yu-gyeom’s place in the village set the stage for their meeting. [Yonhap report on the series and cast](https://www.yna.co.kr/amp/view/AKR20260928056100005)
The creative team and teaser add context to the character relationships
Song Ji-won directs, with Han Ga-ram writing the screenplay. Reports on the second teaser, released October 8, introduced Seong Sae-ryeong, played by Hong Ye-ji, as Jo Yu-gyeom’s girlfriend. This is a relationship between characters in the drama. The series’ premise centers on Ha-yeon and Yu-gyeom’s meeting, while the teaser coverage adds Yu-gyeom’s relationship with Seong Sae-ryeong. When looking at the story ahead of release, it helps to distinguish the basic premise from character relationships introduced later in the teaser.
