YG Entertainment has announced September 20, 2026, as the date for the Osaka round of the 2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION in Japan. This date applies to the Osaka round. When checking eligibility, applicants should match the city and date together with the event name to confirm the correct round.
Eligibility is determined by year of birth
According to the official announcement, people born between 2008 and 2015 may apply regardless of gender or nationality. Broken down, there are no restrictions on gender or nationality, while the stated birth-year range is 2008–2015. The fact that gender and nationality are open does not mean there is no birth-year requirement, so applicants should check their eligibility based on their own year of birth.
Choose one category, with acting and special talents added
According to the official guidelines, applicants may choose one category from singing, rap, dance, and visual. In this global audition, acting and special talents have also been added to the existing categories. The single-category entry format and the expansion of available categories should be considered separately. Even though more categories are available, applicants must still choose one category.
The criteria for deciding whether to apply for the Osaka round are the date, year of birth, and entry category.
